The 2023 Cadillac CT5 Luxury is the latest version of this classic mid-sized sedan. It’s fully customizable, and you can choose options for high comfort or high performance depending on your specific needs. These are some of the highlights of this amazing vehicle that’s already hitting the showrooms.
A First Look at the 2023 Cadillac CT5 Luxury
Engine and Transmission
The CT5 comes with a standard 237-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, but you can upgrade this to a 335-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine. Both of these engines utilize a 10-speed transmission. The standard drivetrain is a rear-wheel drive, but you have the option to change it for an all-wheel drive.
Fuel Economy
Fuel economy is an important consideration with the rising price of gas. The CT5 provides a healthy 23 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway with its standard turbocharged engine. If you upgrade to the 335-hp twin turbo-charged package, its extra power doesn’t significantly decrease fuel economy. You’ll still get 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Interior
The interior is roomy and very user-friendly, with plenty of cargo space. It features an open-pore wood trim which adds to the luxury feel. Generous head and leg room provide additional comfort, and its comfortable seating can accommodate five people in style. Without sacrificing seating capacity, you still have 12 cubic feet of luggage space available. Twelve cubic feet will easily accommodate five carry-on bags.
The built-in infotainment system features an enhanced and updated 10″ touchscreen. This screen can be controlled by either touch or via a rotary wheel behind the shifter. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are fully integrated, and there’s a host of optional features available. You can, for example, add wireless device charging, a heads-up display, and an 8-speaker Bose stereo system.
Colors
Previous year models were limited to two shades of white, blue, or black as exterior colors. The 2023 edition adds red, silver, and steel as options. In addition, the interior allows for four different colors with stylish black trim.
Safety
Advanced safety features are always a part of any Cadillac, and the CT5 includes a hands-free driving mode with adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Another important safety feature is the standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
Warranty
Cadillac is known for standing behind its cars, and its generous warranties reflect this. The standard warranty for the power train is for six years or 70,000 miles, and a limited warranty covers the first four years or 50,000 miles.
